Chocolate Fondue
Chocolate fondue is an amazing dessert that has only been around for a short while. Did you know that a Swiss Chef who was living
in New York during the 1960's created this unique use of chocolate. It's a great way to spice up
a dinner party and is practically effortless to create.
Ask your friends over to taste this delicious chocolate dessert in a fun paced setting.
How to Melt Chocolate for Chocolate Fondue
The chocolate should be melted in the top of a double boiler, over some water that is gently simmering. You should never try to melt
chocolate directly over any heat. If you have a microwave oven, place the chocolate in uncovered on a medium setting
for short warmings and stir it in between. You can also add cream to the chocolate but you must pre-warm the cream
before adding it to the chocolate.
If you find that the chocolate is getting lumpy, add about 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter or vegetable oil and stir.
Continue adding until the chocolate is smooth. Of course the taste may change a little if you use butter.
